PHOTO OF THE DAY: AERO Used A Ladder, Literally, To Disembark Passengers From Aircraft At Bauchi Airport.

 Aero Contractors Airlines used a ladder, literally, to disembark passengers from a Boeing 737 aircraft at the Bauchi airport on Saturday December 19th 2015.

According to the Hon. Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika,  the act is inconsistent with Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS).

The Honourable Minister has directed an immediate investigation into the use of this unauthorized equipment by Aero Contractors Airlines.

The investigation will determine the immediate and remote causes of the incident with a view to developing and implementing measures that will prevent a reoccurrence of the unsafe and unacceptable procedure that exposed passengers who have paid for comfort and safety to high risk of serious injury.

Which way Nigeria? when shall the Young actually grow? I actually thought this country had outgrown some undeveloped and uncivilised practices, but every now and then I'm proved wrong.
