How To Minimise Breakage And Maximise Growth Of Your Hair

0

  • Breakage is one reason many women do not have long healthy hair. Sometimes your hair breaks so much so that it appears it isn’t growing at all. If your hair is breaking so much compare to its growth rate, then you might need to change your hair care routine, especially if unlike me, you are particular about having a long natural hair.  These days natural hair tend to be trendy  and in-style. So many Celebs are rocking their natural hair. The like of Tracee Ellis Ross, Solange, Omoni Oboli and Nse Ikpe-etim. You sure want to rock yours with pride.
  • So change the methods you use in shampooing, conditioning, moisturizing, combing, drying and styling.  Wash your hair from the root up
  • Do not flat thong your hair without applying enough oil.
  • Apply conditioner each time you shampoo your hair to help deposit ingredient wash off by shampoo, and protect your hair from damage and breakage.

  • Try not to use harsh shampoo, or you can dilute it with water to reduce the harshness.
  • Hair is most fragile when it’s wet, so try not to comb or detangle your hair while it’s soaking wet. If you insist on doing this, be sure to apply enough conditioner.
  • That a hair product comes in a nice package or/and is expensive, doesn’t mean it’s the product best for your hair. Sadly I had that experience with a popular hair product and it ended up reducing my hair volume. I still admire the pack but can never use it again because it's best to choose hair products based on hair needs.

  • Your Hair grows, it may not appear so but the fact that you have undergrowth again and again should convince you. The growth rate may vary in each individual based on genetics and ethnic background.  But this notwithstanding, your hair care routine, can deter, or improve your natural hair growth.
  • Maintain a clean scalp always; get rid of dandruff, as your scalp condition can slow your hair growth.
  • A good diet culture of foods rich in vitamins and minerals can also help improve hair growth.
