10 Amazing Reasons Why You Should Eat Fruits For Breakfast.

0
Breakfast has been said to be the most important meal of the day. And the most important thing about breakfast is that you put something in your stomach within 1 hr of your waking up.
Like most people i naturally do not feel the urge to eat within 3 hrs of my waking up. But, more often than not,  i can handle a bowl of mixed fruits, glass of smoothie or just munch any available fruit.

It is better to eat a clean and light breakfast, as this will help your body transition from the fasting state to a eating state. i know you hear stuff like, 'eat breakfast like a king'.
Well, to me the thing with eating heavy breakfast is that i usually have these feelings of heaviness and fatigue, like the food is just sitting there. Studies have found that consuming a heavy breakfast inhibits fat oxidation throughout the day.
So HERE ARE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD EAT FRUITS INSTEAD

    1
  • Eating fruit for breakfast will  make you think clearer,YES, non of that heaviness and fatique.

    2
  • it will help you lose weight. Eating plenty of fruit in the morning (and throughout the rest of the day) gets rid of excess toxicity and waste storage, which usually leads to weight gain in the end.

    3
  • Eating fruit will help contribute to the  healing detoxification process that the body go through between 7am-11am. Don't hamper the process by eating  anti-detox foods like heavy carbs, fatty animal products, etc. that are hard to digest.
        4
  • Eating fruits fo breakfast help stimulate digestive juices in the stomach and push out old waste matter from the day before. Fruit fibre cleans the colon, leaving you feeling light and refreshed
       5
  • Eating fruits boost the immune system. Fruit is high in vitamin C and antioxidants, which strengthen the immune system and ward off any invading bacteria and microbes.
          6
  • Fruits for breakfast contribute to a healthier, stronger heart and prevent against cardiovascular disease. This is because fruits are packed with vitamins, minerals, crucial phytonutrients and antioxidants that contribute to lower cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure.

JUST DO IT: How Taking 'That' Step Can Turn You Into A Success.

Still life of the first electric light bulb, invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879 and patented on January 27, 1880

A couple of years ago , I read an interview of a certain celebrity. She said that her life dared to change for the better because as a teenager she came to the realization of what she wanted in life and took a bold decision without being ready for the consequences of such a decision. She left her village for far away Lagos without any qualification or immediate family in Lagos, simply because she had a dream.
Today, she is a graduate of University of Lagos and a known actress, far from the poverty and limitations of her family and village. She has become the light of her family and an inspiration to other ambitious young girls.

She could have stayed back in the village and perhaps convinced herself that being from an indigent home she didn’t stand a chance, or that it was God’s design for her to be contented with the life her parents could give her. She could have waited for the perfect opportunity or circumstance (which probably would never come), but she just did it, she broke free in pursuit of her dreams. It must have been a difficult and perhaps an unbearable journey, but she survived and dare to live her dreams.

Stories abound of successful men and women who are what and where they are today because they took that first step to achieving their dreams, they just did it.

A lot of people have dreams, but how many actually go out and dare to live it? There’s always uncertainty or fear of failure. But it is better to try and fail than not to try at all, that way you will not be haunted by thoughts of whether you would have succeeded or not. You will know the limits of your ability and work to develop your capacity. It is not the number of times you fail but the times you get up and try again that really matter. Thomas J. Watson, founder of IBM, once told a young entrepreneur who quizzed him if you want to be successful faster, you must double your rate of failure. Success lies on the far side of failure.”
The thing is, there may never be a perfect setting or platform for that dream of yours to take off. So I say, take the first step and if you are passionate, diligent and consistent, if you persevere and are determine, many other needed things will fall in place and take you to the next level. Whenever you are faced with a risky situation, ask yourself this question “what is the worst possible thing that can happen if I go ahead?” then do as J. Paul Getty, the self-made oil billionaire suggested; go ahead and then work to make sure that whatever it is you fear will happen, doesn’t happen.
 Just do it;
  • start writing that book, write the first word.
  • Come on, lose that weight, get up and exercise and start eating healthy foods.
  • Start a business, no matter where you are or what you have.
  •  Pick that form, enroll and start that school,
  • stop wondering about lack of time or money, because you never can tell where help will come from once you are set on doing a thing. For once, think of the joy of achieving that dream and not the limitations you may face.
  • Quit that toxin relationship, learn from your mistakes and work on being and  meeting a better person.
  • Start building on that land with what you have and watch it metamorphose into your dream house.
  • Get up right now and go to the hospital, do not allow fear of an unknown disease keep you from having that medical test or examination, because that single act could save your life.
  • etc.etc.
Do you desire to be a better person; father, mother, child, worker, leader, etc.? It all begins with one needed act in the right direction. Be it an act of love, forgiveness, loyalty, accountability, faith, etc. You have waited and feared for too long, whatever you have to do, just do it. According to the words of Ralph Waldo make a habit throughout your life of doing the thing you fear. If you do the thing you fear, the death of fear is certain.”

Immigration Deadly Recruitment Scam: EFCC Slams 11-Count Charge On ex-Minister Abba Moro, Others

0

By Mohammed Lere

The day of reckoning is here. After walking free for about two years, former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, and four others are now set to face trial for their roles in the shoddy March 15, 2014 immigration recruitment exercise that killed no fewer than 20 job seekers across the country.

After investigating the matter for five months, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has now slammed an 11- count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence, procurement fraud and money laundering on Mr Moro; permanent secretary of the ministry at the time, Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia; a deputy director in the ministry, F. O Alayebami; one Mahmood Ahmadu(at large), and the contracting firm given the recruitment job, Drexel Tech Nigeria Ltd.
The defendants are accused of defrauding 676, 675,000 (Six Hundred and Seventy Six Thousand, Six Hundred and Seventy Five) Nigerian applicants of N676,675,000 (Six Hundred and Seventy Six Million, Six Hundred and Seventy Five Thousand Naira).
The applicants paid N1000 each through an e-payment platform for their online recruitment exercise into the Nigerian Immigration Service.
The accused are also alleged to have contravened the Public Procurement Act, No. 65 of 2007 in the contract awards by not following the necessary procedure laid down by the government.

The award of the contract to Drexel Tech Nig Ltd, the EFCC said. had no prior advertisement, no needs assessment and a procurement plan was not carried out before the contract was awarded.
The contract was awarded through selective tendering procedure by invitation of 4 (Four) firms without seeking the approval of the Bureau for Public Procurement, contrary to sections 40, 42 and 43 of the Public Procurement Act, No. 65 of 2007 and punishable under section 58 of the same act, the anti-graft agency said.

Drexel Tech Global Nigeria Limited, the company that provided the online enlistment and recruitment services is said to be unregistered and had no legal capacity to enter into the said contract.

INEC Declares David Mark Winner Of Benue South Senatorial Rerun Despite Protest. - APC Denies Congratulatory Message.

0

Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party has won the Benue South rerun election. He returns to the 8th Senate, from which the court ejected him a few months ago.The rerun was conducted after the Appeal Court annuled the March 28, 2015 election of which Mr. Mark was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission

In the rerun which took place on Saturday, the former Senate President defeated his sole challenger, Daniel Onjeh, a 41-year old former students’ leader, who contested on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, and was declared winner amid protests by his challenger, who demanded that the election be declared inconclusive. this could be because a total of 29,273 votes were cancelled, higher than the margin of win of 12,571 between  Mark and Onjeh.

Declaring the results of the rerun at 5.51am on Sunday, the Senatorial Returning Officer, Ishaq Eneji, said Mr. Mark garnered 84,192 votes, leaving margin of 12,571 between him and Mr. Onjeh who scored 71,621 votes.
“Having satisfied the requirement of the law, David Bournaventure is hereby declared winner" Mr. Eneji announced.

While the PDP congratulated Mr. David Mark for winning the Benue South Senatorial rerun election, the ruling All Progressives Congress has denied congratulating the former Senate President.
The APC said the twitter handle @APCNigeria, which congratulated Mr. Mark earlier on  was not an official one.

In its statement by its National Secretary, Mala Buni, the APC said, “The “congratulatory message” purportedly obtained from a twitter handle, “@APCNigeria” did not emanate from the party. The purported twitter message itself is not credited to any APC official.”
The ruling party said only its “National Chairman and the National Secretary officially speak for the party.”

Nigerian Banks Refund N6.2 Billion Of Unauthorised Bank Charges To Customers

0

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, said it compelled Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) to refund N6.2 billion to customers they over charged as cost of transactions in 2015.
This is contained in a statement made available by the Director, Corporate Communications, of the CBN, Ibrahim Mu’azu, in Abuja on Saturday.

According to the statement, the apex bank is always ready to checkmate banks and protect customers from illegal, excessive charges.

“The Revised Guide to Bank Charges clearly specifies allowable charges for all banking services; the CBN does not in any way condone the fleecing of banking customers under any guise.

It was in the quest to provide a strong voice to banks’ customers and moderate the arbitrary charges that the CBN in 2012 established a Consumer Protection Department.

“The CBN has investigated over 6,000 complaints relating to unauthorised bank charges brought to its notice, following which banks have been compelled to refund N6.2 billion to affected customers in 2015 alone.

“The CBN wishes to reiterate its resolve to continuously enforce the provision of the Revised Guide to Bank Charges and urges members of the public to report cases of infringement to enable it investigate and apply sanctions on any erring DMB”, it stated.

The statement urged bank customers to forward complaints of excessive bank charges to the Director, Consumer Protection Department of the Central Bank.

Proven Reasons Why You Should Drink A Glass Of Water In An Empty Stomach

1

Ok this, I do every morning, effortlessly because it has become a lifestyle, a lifesaver. I enjoy it.
Drinking water in an empty stomach  in the morning can be of tremendous health benefit to the body. It  has been proven to cure several health conditions without need for medicine.

The organs of the body need water to function smoothly and be in good health. When you drink water in an empty stomach in the morning, it kick starts you organs. Most of the time you will experience movement of bowel, and eliminating toxins and waste through urine and poo is a good way to start the day. This way you prevent constipation and your organs stay hydrated and functional.

It boosts your body with energy, eliminating fatique and the feeling of morning sleep, leaving you awake and ready to take the day.

Drinking water in an empty stomach helps prevent diseases because it  helps minimise the harmful effects of some substances such as alcohol, tobacco, pollution, junk food, among others. and boosts metabolism( which is ideal for weight loss) as you start your day.

Drinking 2-3 glasses of water in the morning helps to maintain our  overall good health because it helps us maintain the lymphatic system health, the intestinal transit. It helps us to control cortisol, and defends us against infections.

Drink at least 3 glasses of water on empty stomach to help  reduce the level of acidity in your stomach and the cramps that can cause you gastritis and other stomach problems. This i should know. I use to have this burning and nauseating  sensation in the upper stomach. Very discomforting, but  when i  consistently drank water first thing in the morning, it all went away.

Drinking water in an empty stomach in the morning consistently, also helps to burn fat in the stomach, combats bloating and gives you a flatter belly.

Now you know better, so do better. Give it a try and be better for doing so.

All d best
-Aitee

Anita Finalises Divorce From Pastor Chris. - Drops' Oyakhilome' And Severe Ties With Crist Embassy.

0

Anita Oyakhilome has  finalised  divorce from  Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder of Believers Love World INC., aka, Christ Embassy. According to her lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors,  she has severed all ties from the ex-husband's church,  Christ Embassy, and is now know as Anita Ebhodaghe, having dropped Oyakhilome from her name. The divorce was finalised on February 8, 2016
It could be  recalled that sometime in 2014, Anita had filed for divorce from pastor Chris stating that her relationship with the later had terribly degenerated that there was no room for any reconciliaton or out of court settlement.
The Cablenews website reported on August 29,2014 that Anita had filed for divorce since April 2014, accusing pastor Chris of adultry and unreasonable behaviour. On his part, pastor Chris denied the allegations and advised his members to stay out of his marital problems.
Needless to say that the divorce saga was all over print and social media with millions trying to make head of why they should divorce and what it will do to the church. Well, 2 years after, it has been put to rest. They are both now single, or not.  Christ Embassy's single sisters watch and pray. You could be the choosen one. Afterall pastor Chris saw and married Anita in church.

Did President Buhari Refer To All Nigerians As Criminals? - See Full Text Of His Interview With The Telegraph, UK

0

Following President Muhammadu Buhari’s comments in an interview granted to the UK’s Telegraph newspaper on February 5, many Nigerian have expressed dissatisfaction. The presidency has described the various interpretations of the President's comments as being misconstrued.

In a statement today by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, noted that the wave of negative reactions to the President’s remarks about the reputation of Nigerians abroad was a result of incomplete understanding of President Buhari’s point.
“President Buhari was asked about the flood of migrants from Nigeria and the fraudulent applications for asylum put in by people desperate to leave their motherland at any cost, and it was this question that elicited his response,” he said.

Mr Shehu added that it was preposterous for anyone to imagine that the president of Nigeria would describe all the citizens of the country he leads as criminals, when he himself is a Nigerian–obviously not a criminal–and when there are many Nigerians of honest living making their country proud all over the world.
“Unfortunately, there are also Nigerians giving their country a bad image abroad, and it is to those Nigerians that the President referred in his comments,” he said, adding that people may play politics and online games with the President’s comments, but the fact of the matter remains that Nigeria’s reputation abroad has been severely damaged by her own citizens. To that, I agree

Excerpts from the interview;

A number of Nigerians use the migrant routes to come to the UK to claim asylum, saying their lives are at risk from Boko Haram. Is is legitimate for them to do so?
"Some Nigerians claim is that life is too difficult back home, but then again some Nigerians have also made it difficult for Europeans and Americans to accept them because of the number of Nigerians in different prisons all over the world accused of drug trafficking or human trafficking. I don't think Nigerians have anybody to blame. They can remain at home. Their services are required to rebuild the country. If their countrymen misbehaved, the best thing for them is to stay at home and encourage the credibility of the nation."
Do you think that Nigerians have an image problem abroad?
"Certainly. But we are on our way to salvage that. We will encourage our countrymen to stay at home, work hard and make a respectable living at home."
